Mr. Spinnenweber began his career at SMA in the fall of 2019, teaching three philosophy courses, a history course, and a Trivium course for middle schoolers, focusing on rhetorical fallacies and how to recognize bad reasoning.  In his Philosophy courses, he particularly enjoys teaching the works of Thomas Aquinas.

Mr. Spinnenweber grew up in Steubenville as the son of two professors, immersed in the rich tradition of Franciscan University.  He studied in the Honors program at Franciscan and presented a variety of papers at academic conferences while earning several academic awards.
