St. Michael Academy Invites Community to Join in Its Celebration of Catholic Schools Week

PETOSKEY – January 28, 2019 – St. Michael Academy (“SMA”), Northern Michigan’s only Classical Catholic high school, is pleased to invite area residents to attend a variety of special events during Catholic Schools Week, this Tuesday to Thursday, January 29 to 31, at SMA.

Scheduled events include a variety of presentations and discussions designed to highlight the school’s “Uncommon Core” Curriculum and the benefits of Classical education.  On Tuesday and Thursday, Mass will be celebrated at 11:30am, followed by a potluck lunch.

SMA Principal Dr. Richard Brake stated, “Whether you have high school aged kids or not, we invite you stop by and check out our unique brand of Classical Catholic education.  At SMA, we blend faith and reason in pursuit of the true, the good, and the beautiful for the nurturing and development of each student’s mind, body, and soul.”

SMA is located at 2225 Summit Park Drive, Petoskey, near the corner of Mitchell and Division.

Established in 2013, SMA is the first Catholic high school in the Little Traverse area since 1972, and Northern Michigan’s only high school offering a Classical Curriculum.
